APIs were never meant to talk. But now, they need to converse.
As enterprises race to integrate generative AI and agentic systems into their workflows, a quiet but essential transformation is underway: rebuilding APIs to be AI-ready. This is about speed, data availability and making our interfaces structured, explainable, resilient, and adaptable enough for multi-turn, context-rich, LLM-powered orchestration.
What does this mean and why it’s foundational for any enterprise AI transformation.
Most APIs today are transactional: → A request goes in. A response comes back. The interaction ends.
